Policies & ActivitiesSince its creation in 1995, the European Children's Network has successfully campaigned at European Union (EU) level for the interests and rights of children, helping to ensure that they are taken into account in the growing number of EU policies and activities that affect them. As a credible voice for children's organisations, EURONET: Has been involved in EU policy development and campaigning on key challenges affecting children, including poverty, social exclusion and discrimination. Has contributed to the increasing recognition of children's rights in key EU legal texts. Has played a major role in bringing about the 2006 announcement of the first-ever European children's rights strategy. Aims to be inclusive and representative of children's NGOs, enabling their participation across Europe.
