Why Become a Member of the European Children's Network?

Benefits of Membership

As a member of the European Children's Network you will become part of a wide network of children’s organisations and associations who work for the rights of Europe’s 100 million children.

Being a member of the European Children's Network also means:

  • Benefiting from and contributing to our advocacy work and campaigning on EU policy and legislation affecting children's rights;
  • Being the first to receive information about the latest EU developments on children’s issues, through EURONET publications and newsletters, regular mailings, and the members-only website and its discussion forum;
  • Gaining easy access to new partners for your projects, conferences and events, sharing expertise and good practice and developing new ideas with EURONET members;
  • Disseminating your point of view and information about your organisation through contributions to our publications and by inserting your website link and short description into the European Children’s Network website;
  • Contributing to the development of new campaign work and projects with your ideas, donations and/or sponsorship.

Full Members include national and transnational NGOs, and networks of national and transnational NGOs, with children as their principal focus. Members in this category must be established in an EU Member State and undertake work on the rights of the child in one or more Member State(s).

Associate Members include national and transnational NGOs, and networks of national and transnational NGOs, who do not have children as their principal focus. Additionally, national or transnational organisations and networks who are not NGOs may also become associate members. Associate members must be established in Europe and undertake work that has some benefit, directly or indirectly, for children.

Member organisations are expected to subscribe to the European Children's Network’s principles and objectives.

EURONET Membership fees

Financial contributions from our membership are necessary to guarantee the independence and functioning of the organisation. Membership fees are defined according to the specific nature and financial capacity of the applicant organisation.

Membership Application Procedure

To apply for membership, organisations must submit the European Children's Network application form. Applications for admission as a member should be directed to the EURONET Secretariat by mail, or any other means of written communication (including email), accompanied by the following information: staffing, membership base, annual income, structure, statutes, and principle activities. The EURONET Management Council may require the Secretariat to seek additional information from the applicant organisation. Applications for membership are decided by the European Children’s Network Management Council.
